Zendaya offered a glimpse into her relationship with Tom Holland.
The two-time Emmy-winning actress stopped Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday to promote her upcoming film Challengers, when she was asked if she had ever received a speeding ticket or moving violation. She admitted she hadn’t but came close once.
“Tom and I were rushing to a spin class … with my mother,” she told the late night host. “I was not going to do the spin class. He was going to do the spin class because I don’t do that. But we were going a little fast because we were running late.”

However, when they were pulled over for speeding, they were able to circumvent the ticket. “They recognized that he was Spider-Man, and we were fine,” she explained, with a laugh. “We got a warning, and everything was OK.”
Zendaya and Holland have been romantically linked since July 2021, when paparazzi took photos of them kissing in a car in Los Angeles. Two months later, the Spider-Man star made their relationship official on Instagram when he shared a photo of the two of them on the Euphoria star’s birthday. “My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your up,” the caption read.
The Crowded Room star and executive producer addressed the paparazzi photos in an interview with GQ published in November 2021, where he shared that was a downside of the Spider-Man co-stars’ fame.
“Privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” he told the publication at the time. “I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy.”
Since then, the couple has mostly remained mum on their relationship. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Holland noted, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
